Europe to build moon resort

Claims made by The European Space Agency of an incredible "moon village" will one day allow travellers to spend a vacation on the moon.
ESA director general , Johann-Dietrich Wörner, , said vacationers will be invited to stay in the remarkable lunar resort as well as businessmen, scientists and even miners who are likely to be interested in extracting minerals from the moon.
Sun-seekers will have the opportunity to bask in constant daylight, depending on where lunar sun trap is built.
Although wearing a 2 piece is likely to be a no-no, as humans would need to wear a space suit to avoid immediate death on the sub-zero, airless lunar surface.

At the moment, the base will probably be constructed near the poles, offering access to water for drinking and possibly swimming - should ESA decide to install a pool.
Some scientists believe the polar regions of the moon enjoy continuous sunshine, although recent research has cast doubt on this claim.
The extra-terrestrial Butlins might also be constructed on the far side of the moon, so that telescopes can peer out into deep space.
Despite its name, the other side of the moon actually enjoys days and nights which last two weeks, meaning tourists should probably plan ahead to avoid disappointment.
Sadly, a holiday in space is not without its risks.
"For this moon village, we would like to combine the capabilities of different space nations, be it robotic or human” says Wörner.
"We would also look for different activities, but in science, business, tourism or mining."
As well as Russia, ESA hopes nations including China, India and Japan will help to build the village.
