Google Translate

Google has now made it easier to communicate with someone in a foreign language by upgrading Google Translate which is used by over 500 million people globally, and works with 103 languages. 

 

Before the upgrade, people had to switch to the Google Translate app or search for a translation on the web. But this new feature on Android phones will allow users to translate texts within any app i.e. users of WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger will be able to understand someone speaking in a foreign language by selecting a piece of text and press a button to translate it, thereafter the translation of the foreign word will appear, with a new translation feature that allows you to reply in the recipients’ language. 

 

Other updates to Google Translate include changing Android's offline mode to iOS, so that iPhone owners can use it in foreign countries without internet connections, and adding Chinese support for its word lens feature, which translates words when you point your smartphone's camera at it.
