Japan's first life-size personalised robot understands Human Emotions!

Japan's first life-size personalised robot with the capacity to comprehend emotions has again sold out almost instantly upon going into the market. 
 
'Pepper', which can live basically on its own with no supervision in your  home, costs 198,000 Japanese yen that’s roughly R22 705.27 and resembles Casper the Friendly Ghost in 3D. 
 
The most recent bunch of 1,000 Peppers’ bots sold out after they became available to be purchased online on Saturday morning, 31st October, reported Taiwanese daily paper The China Post on Sunday. 
 
The kid size robot was produced by Japanese telecom goliath SoftBank and Taiwanese contracted manufacturer, Hon Hai Precision Industry. The creators called Pepper a "social companion for people", guaranteeing that the male/female house-bot is the first of its kind to react to human "emotional signifiers”, for example, laughter or frowns.
 
The initial batch of Peppers where taken to market in June 2015. Thereafter, four batches have gone on sale. The most recent model brags new refinements, including the capacity to retain and store information on human reactions by applying cloud innovation based artificial intelligence.
 
Technology specialists noticed that Pepper is not the best listener but rather has an unmistakably cheeky side. One of the robot's most loved questions is ““So you are very chic. Are you a model?”
 
In one discussion, when asked how old it was, it answered, "In human years, I don't know how old I am however as I robot I was made in 2014."
 
Japan is driving the world’s business sector for human-like personal robots. Past models that were taken to market include, SoftBank's NAO programmable robot which is slightly smaller than Pepper at 29in high; Sony's AIBO robot canine; and Honda's ASIMO bot that can run and climb stairs, Amazing!
