Walking fish with feet, toes and human nose

This strange E.t looking creature commonly compared to "something out of a sci-fi horror film" by islanders.

 

This strange looking sea beast has given many fishermen a fright after confronting them with its “out of this world” looking features with its natural habitat being the ocean.  Some of its features strongly resemble that of a human nose, feet, toes, and it’s covered in scales. 

 

This alien like hybrid uses its feet to walk along the seabed, commonly found at great depths of the Caribbean Ocean.  Above its mouth, one may find a perfectly formed “human nose”, with both feet having minute toes, covered with scales identical to that of a fish. 

 

The creature left fishermen bewildered they discovered the creature on a little island of Carriacou, at the sleepy harbour of windward. 

 

"Everyone crowded around to look - nobody had ever seen anything like it. Said one of the Islanders. "Quite a few people were pretty scared and thought it looked like something out of a sci-fi horror film. “Veteran fisherman Hope McLawrence, 74, who found himself staring into the eyes of the "alien" creature when he hauled in his nets, admits he was astounded.

 

He says the 30cm long creature has two feet with toes, finless, a long bone on its back and "a perfect human nose immediately above its mouth".

 

"I have never discovered anything like this before," he added. "The wings and tail looks extremely complicated." Hope, a fisherman for more than 50 years, has his own opinions on the 'fish'. He said: "By the look of the creature, it can't swim but walks on the seabed.

 

"This has shocked me to a considerable extent since I never thought that a creature like this even existed, much less in the harbour of these shallow, friendly waters.

 

"This is like a mystery and breathes a chill with this discovery." Carriacou is found close to the larger island of Grenada. Found just 300km from Barbados, a preferred winter holiday spot for stars including Simon Cowell and pop star Rihanna.
